Gina graduated as a Registered Nurse from Amarillo College in 2001 and gained valuable experience working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Cardiology before furthering her education. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University and became board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She gained experience in urgent care before transitioning to Rheumatology in March 2017, where she has practiced alongside Dr. Plata for nearly eight years.
